RWCWise

Read · Write · Create, on your Mac

Where reading turns into writing.

RWCWise keeps what you read — articles, PDFs, videos and feeds — beside what you write about it. Highlight a passage, jot down the thought it gave you, and turn both into a draft, with an AI that works from your own library. All of it stays on your Mac.

01How it works

Three workspaces over one library.

  1. Read

Save articles, PDFs, YouTube videos and posts, subscribe to feeds, or bring in your Readwise highlights. Read without clutter, highlight in four colors, and write a note beside any passage.

  2. Write

Catch a thought in a stream of short notes, tag it with a word, and link it to what you read. Grow wiki pages from your notes as the ideas settle.

  3. Create

Pick the highlights and notes you want to build on and start a Draft from them. Every paragraph keeps the sources it draws on, so you can always go back to the passage.

02What you get

Your reading, one step from your writing.

An AI that reads your library

Open the Conversation panel next to anything you read or write and ask. The AI searches your highlights and notes, shows each source it read, and proposes a note, a highlight or a wiki page.

Nothing is written until you save it.

Notes as fast as the thought

Write, press Capture, and keep reading. Notes fall into a stream by day, with your tags at the side and a link back to the article that started them.

Drafts that remember their sources

A Draft starts from the highlights and notes you choose. Write it yourself or let the AI write a first pass; each paragraph shows the numbers of the sources it stands on.

What you marked comes back

Daily Review brings back a few highlights and notes each day. Check one off, and it returns later, at longer and longer intervals, so a passage you marked is there when you can use it.

Search everything

⌘ K finds any article, highlight, note, wiki page or Draft in your library.

A gardener for your notes

The Gardener reads your wiki pages and points out notes that repeat, contradict each other, or stand alone.

Your own Skills

Choose a folder of SKILL.md files, and the AI follows your own ways of working when a task fits one.

Summaries and translation

A summary at the top of each article, and a translation beside the original, from the AI you already use.

03Local-first

Your library lives on your Mac.

Highlights, notes and drafts are the closest thing software has to a record of how you think. RWCWise keeps them on your Mac, and its AI runs through Codex or Pi, which you install and sign in to yourself.
